The German giant Stihl will open a new production unit in Romania on Wednesday, marking the first factory in the country dedicated to battery packs, with an investment of approximately 125 million euros. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan will attend the inauguration event, marking his second participation in such an event in the same week, after he was present at the inauguration of a new assembly line for electric motors by Mercedes-Benz in Sebeș on Monday. Stihl's investment was announced in 2022, with the company initially estimating that it would start operations in the second half of 2024. This factory will contribute to the development of the battery production sector in Romania.
