Winners Holding Investments has announced the commissioning of a 100 MWh battery, which will significantly contribute to balancing the National Energy System.
This achievement comes shortly after the completion of a 10 MWh battery in Aghireșu, in April. The project is part of a partnership with Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd from China, and a third battery, with a capacity of 200 MWh, is scheduled to be completed in November in Jibou, with an investment of approximately 45 million euros. Claudiu Șugar, the representative of Winners Holding, emphasized the importance of these investments for a more stable energy infrastructure.
Currently, the total energy storage capacity in Romania is approaching 2,000 MWh, and ANRE estimates a tripling of the power of storage installations by the end of the year.
Winners Holding Investments, controlled by Horia Ciorcilă, continues to develop energy storage projects, thus contributing to the energy transition of the country.
