The Pro Infrastructura Association announces the completion of the modernization of the Aghireșu-Poieni segment in just two years, a record for railway works in Romania.

The Pro Infrastructure Association announced a record in railway works, namely the completion of the modernization of the Aghireșu-Poieni segment in just two years. This project, part of the Cluj-Napoca-Oradea route, was carried out by the Alstom-Arcada association, which managed to install a new line over all 36.5 kilometers.

Association representatives emphasize that this success demonstrates that, with adequate resources from the PNRR and simplified bureaucracy, quick results can be achieved. However, they draw attention to persistent issues, such as the blockages at Poieni, where the station building remains a ruin due to lack of funds.

It is also mentioned that additional works are needed at Brăișoru Cap Y, where an ecoduct will be built, but which is currently in redesign, requiring discussions on the environmental impact.
