The interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that, through the new salary law, no salary in the public sector will decrease, ensuring that employees will not go home with less money. In a press conference, Pîslaru emphasized that, despite protests from unions and reactions regarding possible decreases, the income currently being paid will not be reduced.

He acknowledged that the project has gaps and needs improvements, mentioning that the work began in 2022 and that the responsibility to finalize it has returned to the Social Democratic Party. Pîslaru criticized the political attacks on the project, stating that many criticisms are based on incorrect interpretations. He clarified that this project is not intended for salary increases, but for ensuring salary equity.
