Petrobrazi refinery, the largest in southeastern Europe, is operating at maximum capacity, according to authorities in Prahova County, despite the turbidity issues that have arisen at the Paltinu water source. The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, emphasized that maintaining the operation of the refinery has been an absolute priority, essential for the country's energy stability. The refinery provides approximately 35% of the national fuel needs. To avoid shutdown, a bypass was created to supply water from other sources. Additionally, the power plant in Brazi has been partially restarted, and technical teams estimate that the second turbine will also be restarted soon, thus ensuring the continuity of industrial processes.
