Some gas stations in Romania are facing temporary shortages of fuels, especially diesel, but the authorities assure that this is not a nationwide shortage. The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, Cristian Bușoi, explained that the delays are caused by logistical blockages and difficulties in transporting fuels, amid the intense rail traffic of the summer season and some infrastructure works. Meanwhile, OMV Petrom has warned its business partners that wholesale diesel deliveries may be delayed due to significant variations in stocks and high demand.
