Cristian Bușoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, announced that the fuel supply situation has improved compared to two weeks ago, following a meeting with representatives of oil companies and the Ministry of Transport.

Although there are challenges related to congestion on the railway, authorities do not anticipate risks of fuel shortages at gas stations.

Bușoi mentioned that solutions have been found to streamline fuel transportation, including moving part of the activity to nighttime.

Additionally, a recently adopted law will come into effect that provides for a reduction in the excise duty on diesel, and Petromidia has increased production to 85% of capacity. The government is monitoring the situation and has emergency stocks to prevent potential crises. Deputies have adopted measures to protect the economy and the population in the context of the crisis in the oil market.
