A fire truck used for unclogging sewers fell into a suddenly appeared hole in the asphalt. The incident occurred in the city of Buzău and was caused by repeated interventions requested by the residents of the building for cleaning the collector pit, according to the Buzău Water Company.

Teams signaled the area and stopped traffic after the asphalt collapsed and the sewer network was damaged. Since March 2022, there have been 51 requests for unclogging the channels, caused by the improper disposal of waste into the sewer system.

The company identified problems with the piping of the network and announced that all costs for the repeated interventions will be borne by the residents, who will receive notifications through the homeowners' associations.
