A 33-year-old man died in a traffic accident in Sălaj, after the van he was driving entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with another van.

A serious road accident occurred on National Road 1C, between the localities of Rus and Glod, Sălaj County. A 33-year-old man from Botoșani County, driving a van, entered the opposite lane, colliding head-on with another van driven by a 44-year-old man from Panticeu, Cluj County. Following the impact, despite the resuscitation efforts made by the emergency crews, the 33-year-old man was declared dead.

His body was transported to the Sălaj County Forensic Medicine Service for an autopsy. The 44-year-old driver was tested with a breathalyzer, and the result was negative. The police continue the investigation to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
