Romania is facing an increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather phenomena, such as the devastating storms recently observed in Sinaia. Climatologist Roxana Bojariu emphasizes that these phenomena will become more frequent, fuelled by climate change. Although summer storms are normal, the current intensity is unusual. Preparedness is needed through short-term warning systems and the development of better infrastructure for the longer term.
