The Minister of National Defense, Radu Miruță, together with high-ranking officials, presented the 86th Air Base 'Lieutenant aviator Gheorghe Mociorniță' to the American delegation, highlighting the activities carried out, especially the training of Romanian and Ukrainian pilots for operating F-16 aircraft.

During the meeting, Miruță reaffirmed Romania's commitment to supporting collective defense in collaboration with the United States. He emphasized the importance of the relationship with the USA and Romania's active involvement in European security.

The American delegation appreciated Romania's efforts in the current security context, including the support provided to Ukraine. Additionally, the discussions included an analysis of the regional security situation and the modernization of military capabilities, highlighting the strategic role of the base in the Black Sea region.
