Radu Miruță states that there is no information about the withdrawal of American soldiers from Romania, but on the contrary, their numbers have increased in the last year.

The interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, stated that there are no indications regarding the withdrawal of American troops from Romania; on the contrary, their numbers have increased by approximately 500 soldiers in the last year. This was a consequence of the decisions made by the CSAT, which allowed the introduction of American equipment on national territory. Miruță emphasized the importance of maintaining an American military presence for Romania's deterrence capability.

He also discussed the increase in drone incidents near the borders, warning the population not to touch their remains. The Ministry of Defense will launch an information campaign to educate citizens about the appropriate reactions in case of discovering drones. Miruță also mentioned the risks posed by Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, which are occurring very close to Romania's border, highlighting the country's vulnerability in the current context.
