The mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, stated that the city's projects will continue under the coordination of the USR deputy mayors, Ruben Lațcău and Paula Romocean, as well as the public administrator Matei Creiveanu.
Dominic Fritz emphasized, in a message on Facebook, that despite the challenges, his team has built a working system that will ensure the continued development of the city.
He mentioned that "the patience of the citizens will be tested" by the numerous construction sites and that the absorption of European funds will continue, with new bridges, modernized schools, and a "more efficient" public transport.
Additionally, Fritz reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption and invited citizens to actively engage in the process of change.
"I will remain an involved Timișoara citizen. And president of USR. And from these positions, I will continue to fight, together with you, against the octopus that has suffocated Romania for 36 years. The hope that together we are a counter-force to this mafia is crucial. But we all know that it is not enough to fight day by day. We need to be as many as possible to change the rules of the game", he wrote.
