Severe storms have severely affected several areas in Bihor, Sibiu, and Brașov, causing significant damage.

In Aleșd, part of the train station's roof was torn off by the wind, and hail and torrential rains hit other localities as well. These phenomena came after a heatwave, when Bihor was under a red code for high temperatures. Meteorologists issued a nowcasting warning for torrential rains, predicting water accumulations of over 25-30 l/m².

In Sibiu, the storm caused the roof of an apartment building to detach, which fell onto cars, damaging them but without causing injuries.

In Brașov, firefighters intervened to remove fallen trees and to evacuate water from flooded garages, without recording any casualties. These extreme weather events highlight the impact of climate change on the weather in Romania.
