Vegetation fires in Hunedoara County: Over 15 hectares in the Rovina area affected

A fire engulfed over 15 hectares of dry vegetation and forest land yesterday in Hunedoara County, in the Rovina area.

The intervention of the firefighting crews was hampered by difficult weather conditions, including strong winds and high temperatures, as well as the rugged terrain. Firefighters from the Brad subunit, supported by crews from the Brad Section and the Deva Detachment, managed to locate and extinguish the fire.

To prevent the fire from reigniting, the affected area was monitored overnight by a firefighting crew. On the same day, firefighters also intervened in the locality of Ciopeia, where over seven hectares of land burned, leading to the temporary closure of National Road 66. Additionally, interventions took place in the localities of Călan and Bulzeștii de Sus, where fires of dry vegetation and hay bales were reported.
