A large vegetation fire broke out in the Câmpu Mare – Scoarța area, Gorj County, causing large smoke emissions that completely covered the area. The spokesperson for ISU Gorj announced that crews from several subunits are intervening with five fire trucks to extinguish the fire. So far, there is no danger to nearby homes, however, traffic on DN 67 Târgu Jiu – Horezu has been temporarily stopped to prevent accidents caused by reduced visibility. Firefighters are working to locate the fire and limit the spread of the flames, and drivers are advised to avoid the area and follow the authorities' instructions. The dense smoke is visible from a distance, including from the Bengești area.
