Eugen Rădulescu, advisor at the National Bank of Romania, stated that a 10% reduction in administrative expenses is not sufficient to address the country's financial issues. He emphasized that the subject of administrative-territorial reorganization is being ignored, which contributes to the waste of resources. Rădulescu compared the current situation to Romania in the '60s, stating that there is no desire for modernization. He mentioned that the proposed measures are rather temporary and do not address the fundamental issue of high budgetary expenditures. He also suggested that a change to the Constitution is not necessary to reduce the number of counties, highlighting the importance of administrative reform, even though the chances of achieving it are low.
