The leader of the PSD senators, Daniel Zamfir, launched a vehement attack against Eugen Rădulescu, advisor to the governor of the BNR, demanding his dismissal after Rădulescu warned that Romania risks an economic disaster.
Zamfir accused the BNR official of double standards and propaganda, stating that he speaks like a "last propagandist" and criticized his salary and pension. The senator's reaction came after Rădulescu declared that the economic state of Romania is severely affected by politicians, especially by the PSD, and predicted that, due to current policies, Romania could end up in an extreme situation, suggesting that people might "peel bark off trees." Zamfir called on the BNR leadership to dismiss Rădulescu for his alarmist statements, considering them unacceptable for an advisor to the governor of the BNR.
