The Romanian Electric Networks Company announced, through a press release, that it will implement a project to modernize the electricity distribution network by installing transformer stations equipped with compact 'Minibox' solutions, which operate at medium voltage (24 kV). These pre-assembled equipment will ensure efficient and safe energy distribution, reducing installation times and optimizing the space required at distribution points. The project aims to increase distribution capacity, integrate new energy sources, and connect consumers, in the context of the growing demand for electricity. The bidding for this project will have a deadline for submitting offers on SEAP until May 25, 2026, and the contract will last 48 months. The company has included selection criteria to promote sustainable practices, offering an additional score to bidders who comply with ISO 14040 standards. Romanian Electric Networks operates networks of 136,000 kilometers in Muntenia, Banat, and Dobrogea, having 293 transformer stations and over 26,000 transformer posts.
