DSVSA Buzău inspectors have withdrawn 1.2 tons of meat possibly infected with the African swine fever virus, imposing fines of 33,600 lei.

Following complaints, DSVSA Buzău recalled 1.2 tons of meat possibly infected with the African swine fever virus. Inspectors carried out more than 300 checks in June, finding irregularities such as a lack of health checks and poor labeling. They were fined 33,600 lei and over 380 food samples were taken. DSVSA also handled 4 notifications of non-compliance through the Administrative Assistance and Cooperation System.
