A new bill submitted to the Chamber of Deputies aims to amend the Law on pre-university education, proposing a ban on the use of mobile phones by students throughout the duration of classes, including during breaks and during organized activities outside of school.
The project stipulates the obligation to deposit phones in specially designated areas within educational institutions. In case of violation of these rules, phones may be temporarily confiscated and returned to parents or students, according to the school's internal regulations. The amendment refers to Article 106 of the Law on pre-university education, which states that the use of mobile phones is prohibited in all forms of education, except in cases where they are used for educational purposes or in authorized areas. This initiative aims to increase students' attention and involvement in the educational process.
