Donald Trump will visit Ireland for two days / Bilateral meetings and participation in the golf tournament on the US president’s agenda

U.S. President Donald Trump will arrive in Dublin on Saturday morning for a two-day visit to Ireland, where he will meet with Irish officials and attend the Amgen Irish Open golf tournament. The visit comes amid heightened security measures and protests announced in several areas.

Trump will pay a courtesy visit to Ireland’s President, Catherine Connolly, and hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Michael Martin. The schedule also includes participation in events held at the residence of the U.S. ambassador to Ireland, Ed Walsh, in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

Later, the U.S. president will travel to County Clare, where he will attend the Amgen Irish Open tournament, held at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Doonbeg, his properties. His sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., are expected to accompany him to Doonbeg.

Irish authorities have been preparing for the visit for several months, with the trip considered one of the largest security operations in the country’s history. Thousands of people are expected at protests in Dublin, and a demonstration has also been announced in Doonbeg. Trump previously visited Ireland in 2019, when he also spent time at his golf course.
