The National Anticorruption Directorate has launched an investigation into former Romsilva director Teodor Țigan, after the ICCJ Public Prosecutor's Office raised suspicions about a retirement bonus of almost 100,000 euros. After his retirement, Țigan was re-hired and continued to receive a salary of more than 825,000 lei, raising questions about the legality of this income. DNA is investigating whether this accumulation of income constitutes fraud or abuse of office, given the allegations of mismanagement of public funds in forestry.
