The Pro Infrastructura Association criticized the Romanian authorities for the delay in implementing the system through which the Police can fine drivers who break the law, using images from video cameras on public roads.

Representatives of the organization accused Bogdan Despescu, the head of the Romanian Police, and Cătălin Predoiu, the Minister of Internal Affairs, of not fulfilling their role in ensuring road safety. They emphasized that the delays have lasted for two years, mentioning that various reasons have been invoked, including the lack of a national center for processing fines. Pro Infrastructura reminded that this subject has been discussed before, but without significant progress. The organization highlighted that this delay affects road safety, leaving roads vulnerable to risky behaviors of drivers.
