Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4 of Bucharest, announced the extension of the M4 subway line, which will include 14 new stations between Gara de Nord and Gara Progresul, in an investment estimated at nearly 17 billion lei. The mayor emphasized the importance of this network for the city's development, reducing traffic, and combating pollution.


Additionally, Băluță mentioned that work is underway to extend the line with three more stations up to the commune of Berceni. He highlighted the need for new lines, M5 and M7, to improve urban mobility. The mayor requested that the subway be managed by the Capital City Hall, emphasizing the importance of better conditions in the stations.
