The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, met with the FBI Director, Kash Patel, to discuss strengthening cooperation between Romania and the USA. Following the meeting, it was decided to establish a Task Force aimed at facilitating the exchange of information and data in combating organized crime, illegal migration, cyber threats, and illegal activities of hostile state actors. Predoiu emphasized the importance of collaboration in managing current challenges, such as drug trafficking and cybercrime, and proposed including training topics from the FBI Academy in the curriculum of students at the Police Academy in Romania. The FBI Director appreciated the existing cooperation, highlighting Romania's role as an important ally in the region. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue and strengthen collaborative relations.
