Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that Romania ranks second in Europe, after Italy, in terms of the number of people aged between 55 and 64 who are not part of the employed active population. He emphasized that, in order to address the country's economic challenges, any government must promote an increase in the employment rate and improve economic conditions.

Bolojan proposed limiting early retirements, which contribute to the decrease in the number of people actively working.

He also highlighted that currently, just over half of the people in this age group are employed, with the rest being economically inactive, including due to early retirements or migration abroad.

The Prime Minister mentioned the importance of the proposal regarding judges' pensions, which could influence future decisions regarding retirements in other fields.

Additionally, he emphasized that, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employees can retire at younger ages, which affects the availability of the workforce and economic performance.
