Two men from Bacău County, aged 24 and 38, were fined by gendarmes for the illegal collection of truffles from the Râșca forest. They were caught on the Râșcuța forest road, having 6.6 kilograms of truffles harvested without authorization. Each man received a fine of 2,000 lei, and the confiscated truffles were handed over to the Râșca Forestry Office.
The Suceava Gendarmerie emphasized the importance of respecting environmental protection laws and called on citizens to collect truffles only with authorization, to prevent damage to forest ecosystems. The actions of the gendarmes aim to protect nature and maintain a healthy balance between human activities and the surrounding environment.
