The Celtic Glasgow group announced on Monday evening that coach Brendan Rodgers has submitted his resignation.

Brendan Rodgers has been on the technical bench of Celtic since the summer of 2023, after his agreement with Leicester came to an end. Despite the trophies won in recent years, the coach decided to submit his resignation after the defeat to Hearts in the 9th round of the Scottish championship, and the club decided to accept it.

Additionally, in the official statement, Celtic announced that former Premier League coach and ex-manager of the club, Martin O’Neill, will take on the role of interim coach, assisted by former team player, Shaun Maloney.
