According to him, in the upcoming period, the Audiovisual Media Services Code could be amended, so that the Audiovisual Council receives new powers regarding the regulation of the digital space.

According to the President of Parliament, the Audiovisual Council is the appropriate institution to take on the responsibility of regulating the online environment.


“The Audiovisual Council already has experience in distinguishing between the two practices. When validating the results, the Constitutional Court issued a letter, a recommendation, for Parliament, that this aspect should be regulated. We do not even have the most basic concepts for regulating this field,” Igor Grosu also said.
