Representatives of the National Trade Union Bloc (BNS) announced a series of requests for the government, in the context of discussions with coalition parties. Among these is the increase of the minimum wage from 4,050 lei to at least 4,325 lei, according to the official calculation formula. BNS also proposes reducing personal deductions and introducing growth coefficients for skilled workers and those with higher education.

Trade unionists are demanding a halt to reforms that involve salary cuts and job reductions in the public sector, as well as transparent discussions with social partners. BNS emphasizes the importance of consultation before any restructuring measures in the public sector, considering that the lack of such can lead to social injustices. Additionally, BNS calls for a reduction in labor taxation, noting that Romania has one of the highest tax burdens on salaries in the EU, which discourages formal work and fuels the informal economy.
