Following these inspections, 48 fines were imposed, totaling approximately 198,000 lei, and 109 warnings were issued for issues resolved on the spot.
Among the irregularities found are improper storage of food, lack of price displays and essential information on labels, as well as absence of allergen information. The ANPC temporarily suspended the activity of one economic operator and halted the sale of non-compliant products worth over 52,000 lei. The authority will continue inspections during the holiday season, advising consumers to be attentive to product presentations and to report any observed irregularities.
