Ten years after the devastating fire at the Colectiv club, which led to the death of 65 people, civic organizations are organizing a march in University Square to commemorate the victims and draw attention to the unresolved issues in the Romanian healthcare system. Participants will head towards the former Colectiv club, with the slogan "Their voices have fallen silent, but we can still shout." Organizations emphasize that nosocomial infections continue to claim victims, and the authorities have not held those responsible for the tragedy accountable. Additionally, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan sent a message on the occasion of the commemoration, highlighting the inadequacy of the measures taken after the incident and the need to hold politicians accountable to avoid past mistakes. The tragedy at Colectiv remains a symbol of the need for reform in the healthcare system and public safety in Romania.
