Acting Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu sent a strong message on Facebook, addressing politicians who try to mask corruption, in the context where, after 8 years, in the August 10, 2018 case, no one has been found guilty for the brutal intervention of the Romanian Gendarmerie against peaceful protesters.
"On August 10, 2018, people gathered in Victory Square to protest against the corrupt system led by Liviu Dragnea, the then president of the PSD, and the Dancila government that he puppeteered. To suppress the protests, peaceful people were gassed by the Romanian Gendarmerie. After 8 years, no one has been definitively found guilty for gassing 30,000 people on that fateful night of August 10. Just as no one has been found guilty for the victims of the Mineriads. Just as no one has been found guilty for the dead from the Revolution. We have not forgotten. We will not forget. The day will come when you will pay. Even if justice does not succeed, the people will send you exactly where you belong:
to the dustbin of history," wrote Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu on Facebook on Monday evening, who recently became the vice president of PNL.
