Mircea Lucescu went through difficult moments after fainting in the training camp of the Romanian national team and was transported to the Emergency Room. The coach explained that his condition deteriorated due to the nervousness caused by the analysis of the match against Turkey, in which he felt breathing difficulties.
Lucescu clarified that he did not suffer a cardiac arrest, but fibrillation, a problem he has faced in the past. He also mentioned that revisiting the phase of the Turkish goal angered him, emphasizing that the team made mistakes that led to dangerous situations. Although he wished to be with the team for the match against Slovakia, Lucescu acknowledged that he cannot leave the hospital and expressed hope that the players will manage without him.
"I got very angry when I started analyzing the match against Turkey, even though three days have already passed. And from this state of nervousness, I felt unwell. I felt that I could no longer breathe normally. Under no circumstances did I suffer a cardiac arrest, as I saw some wrote. It was fibrillation. It happened to me the first time when I was in Brescia. It was very cold outside then and they took me to the hospital. That's it, it's over. However, the more important thing is something else. I believe in the potential of this generation. The footballers have a lot of talent. Supported, they and the new coach will be able to achieve good results, I am convinced," said Lucescu.
