UEFA has excluded Andrei Chivulete from a match in the Europa League

The Romanian referee Andrei Chivulete will no longer officiate the match between Zilina and Hajduk Split, in the first preliminary round of the Europa League, after UEFA canceled his appointment before the match scheduled for July 16, in Slovakia.

The decision of the European body comes after Chivulete did not pass the physical tests held during the summer seminar organized by the Central Commission of Referees, which took place from July 5-7 in Mogoșoaia and Buftea. UEFA appointed Horațiu Feșnic from Cluj-Napoca in place of Chivulete. He will be assisted by referees Valentin Avram and Alexandru Corb.

UEFA did not keep the fourth official, Radu Petrescu, in the team either. He also failed the physical tests, and his place was taken by Szabolcs Kovacs.

The VAR team remains unchanged. Ovidiu Hațegan will serve as the video referee, and Iulian Dima will be the assistant video referee for the match between Zilina and Hajduk Split.
