Marius Mitran, the LPF's communications director, reacted to Dan Șucu's request for the resignation of president Gino Iorgulescu, emphasizing that the contested decision was taken by the Emergency Committee, headed by Răzvan Burleanu. Mitran says the decision did not disadvantage any club and was necessary to bring the rules in line with European requirements. He also finds Șucu's position surprising, given that previous LPF decisions have not favored a single club.
