Vladimir Plahotniuc could return to the Republic of Moldova on September 25, three days before the parliamentary elections

Wanted for the embezzlement of one billion dollars from the country's banks, he is set to be extradited from Greece, where he was detained in July, and the interior minister from Chişinău stated that plane tickets have been reserved for September 25.

"The extradition plan is already finalized. (...) The date of the 25th is an estimated one because flight options have been analyzed, there are certain criteria and requirements regarding where in the aircraft the person being escorted is placed, but also the officers who accompany him, and depending on the availability of seats in the aircraft, tickets have been reserved for this date," explained Interior Minister Daniela Misail-Nichitin on the Rezoomat show on Rlive.
