President Nicușor Dan announced that Horațiu Potra has been brought back to Romania under escort, after the authorities in the United Arab Emirates approved his extradition. This operation, which also includes the return of his son and grandson, underscores the Romanian state's commitment to uphold constitutional order and to bring before justice those suspected of actions against it.
Horațiu Potra has an arrest warrant in absentia issued by the General Prosecutor's Office for crimes related to constitutional order. The Romanian Police confirmed that the three men, including Horațiu Potra, arrived at Otopeni Airport and will be placed in detention facilities for the execution of the warrants. The President appreciated the efforts of the Ministries of Justice and Internal Affairs, as well as the collaboration of international institutions in this operation.
