Vladimir Plahotniuc, former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova, sent a public message after returning to the country, stating that his case is a political one. He declared that he is determined to prove his innocence and accused political pressure on prosecutors and courts. Plahotniuc explained that he had a communication break due to the need to analyze the materials in his case, which contains 97 volumes.
He emphasized that there is pressure on the participants in the process to expedite the examination of his case. Additionally, Plahotniuc criticized the media for "televised justice" and promised that he would demonstrate that the accusations against him are based on political speculation. Plahotniuc is confident that the law will ensure his release, thus allowing him to return to the social and political life of the country.
