The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, in Bucharest, where they discussed joint projects aimed at benefiting citizens on both banks of the Prut River. Another important topic was the advancement of the Republic of Moldova's accession process to the European Union, with the support of Romania. This meeting took place in the context of Maia Sandu's participation in the consecration service of the painting of the National Cathedral, officiated by the Patriarch of Romania, Daniel. Additionally, Maia Sandu had a discussion with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, focused on the role of faith in promoting peace and solidarity among communities. Sandu expressed the gratitude of Moldovan citizens for the spiritual support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and reaffirmed Moldova's commitment to being a pillar of peace and dialogue among nations.
