Nicușor Dan had a meeting on Wednesday with the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union, where he discussed Romania's priorities in the field of security, defense, and European integration. He emphasized the country's firm commitment to a pro-European path and highlighted the importance of strengthening European security, in complementarity with NATO. The President of Romania mentioned that the implementation of programs established at the European level, such as Defence Readiness 2030 and increasing military mobility, remains a priority for Romania.
Additionally, the discussions addressed the economic challenges of the European Union, and the president insisted on the need to strengthen the competitiveness of the European economy and to ensure an ambitious budget for the post-2027 period, maintaining cohesion and agriculture policies as essential pillars.
