President Nicușor Dan attended a meeting of EU leaders, reaffirming support for Ukraine and highlighting the connection with the security of the Republic of Moldova.

President Nicușor Dan participated on Monday, via videoconference, in an extraordinary meeting of European Union leaders to discuss the peace plan for Ukraine. At the end of the meeting, he emphasized that Europeans remain united in support of Kyiv, highlighting the direct link between the security of Ukraine and that of the Republic of Moldova.

Nicușor Dan stated that it is essential to find concrete solutions to strengthen support for Ukraine. The meeting took place in the context of recent negotiations between the United States, Ukraine, and Europeans, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned progress but emphasized that more is needed to achieve real peace. Additionally, the Kremlin spokesperson stated that Moscow has not received official information about the negotiations in Geneva.
