Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu of the Republic of Moldova made his first foreign visit to Bucharest on Thursday, where he was warmly received by President Nicușor Dan. Munteanu emphasized the importance of this visit, mentioning the contribution of European diplomats to Moldova's European integration process, which is considered essential for national security, especially in the context of the war in Ukraine.
During the visit, the Moldovan prime minister held meetings with the Presidents of Parliament, Sorin Grindeanu and Mircea Abrudean, as well as with his counterpart, Ilie Bolojan, to discuss joint projects and initiatives. This visit takes place a day before Moldova assumes the presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, an important mandate that the country will hold for six months.
