Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan will receive on Thursday, at the Victoria Palace, his counterpart from the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu, who is making his first official visit to Romania since taking office. The meeting will address topics and projects of common interest, taking place in the current geostrategic context.
Munteanu's visit is significant, being his first foreign trip since taking over the leadership of the Government in Chișinău and taking place a day before the Republic of Moldova assumes the presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, a mandate that will last 6 months. The cabinet led by Munteanu took the oath of office on November 1, in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Parliament President Igor Grosu.
