Lamine Yamal, the young star of Spanish football, has been excluded from the national team for the matches against Georgia and Turkey, after coach Luis de la Fuente learned that the Barcelona player underwent a medical procedure without informing the staff. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) expressed surprise and discomfort following this situation, mentioning that Yamal underwent an invasive radiofrequency intervention to treat pubalgia, without the team's medical staff being informed.
Additionally, RFEF emphasized that it learned details about the procedure only through a subsequent report. Considering the upcoming matches, the coach decided to withdraw Yamal from the squad, who will return to Barcelona for continued treatment. In his place, Jorge de Frutos has been called up. RFEF emphasized that the priority is the player's health and wishes him a speedy recovery.
