On Sunday, December 14, an explosion occurred in a heating stove in a house in the Ciorescu commune, Chișinău, resulting in the death of a 56-year-old man and the serious injury of another 40-year-old man. The incident was reported at 18:09, and emergency teams intervened at the scene.

The explosion damaged the stove, the ceiling of the house, and the kitchen window, but no fire broke out. According to IGSU, the preliminary cause of the explosion is the failure to comply with fire safety rules, likely due to the overloading of the stove. The Inspectorate urges citizens to follow safety rules when using heating sources and to avoid dangerous improvisations.
