The National Bureau of USR has decided, unanimously, to take note of the appointment of Adrian Veștea for the position of prime minister, reaffirming that it will not form a government alongside PSD.

The party believes that Romania needs a government supported by a clear political majority and that the current formula does not provide sufficient guarantees for stability and reforms.

The six conclusions formulated by USR

USR has taken note of the nomination of Adrian Veștea, but states that it was not consulted prior to the announcement.

The party maintains its decision not to govern alongside PSD, out of respect for the promises made to voters.

USR will not support a government resulting from political conflicts and betrayals and will officially decide its position in a Political Committee.

The formation criticizes the exclusion of reformist forces from governance, which it attributes to the political crisis generated by PSD and AUR.

USR believes that the current governing formula risks repeating the mistakes of the past, such as high inflation and the rise of extremism.

The party calls for the formation of a reformist and pro-democracy bloc, to combat extremism and corruption and to support reforms.

The party will convene a Political Committee to discuss the future government. The six conclusions of USR will be presented during this meeting, highlighting the firm position of the formation in the current political context.
