Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, stated that the Rabla program for the year 2026 could be canceled, as there is no established budget for its funding. During the Romanian International Energy Conference 2025, she emphasized that, although she prefers the continuation of the program, the priority for the next year will be the completion of projects from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Buzoianu mentioned that if a budget is found for Rabla, the program could undergo changes, including its application only for cars produced in Europe. She also emphasized that AFM will focus funding on projects already started, such as essential infrastructure and voluntary collection centers for waste. This year, the Rabla program had a budget of 200 million lei, which was quickly exhausted due to high demand.
