The PSD mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, stated on Digi24 that the direction in which Sorin Grindeanu leads the party suggests a possible alliance with AUR. Toma emphasized that if PSD continues on the same path, there will be no other solution than collaboration with the extremist party. These comments come against the backdrop of repeated attacks by PSD against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. Toma mentioned that, in the context of the canceled presidential elections in 2024, the social democrats from Buzău would have offered 3,000 votes to George Simion to help him reach the second round, which would have affected Marcel Ciolacu's chances. He criticized the party's strategy, suggesting that the votes were misdirected, leading to an unfavorable situation for the PSD candidate.
